Our Ottawa Canada based President is exceptionally unique in the private investigation and corporate security intelligence consulting field in that he holds a license as an Ontario Private Investigator and in addition to decades of investigative and security intelligence experience
is trained and experienced in forensic psychology and practiced in the area of forensic-clinical-operational and investigative psychology and holds two Doctoral degree's in the behavioral science field. He has had a long-term professional interest in the application of forensic, investigative and operational psychology and behavioral sciences applied to the corporate investigative, protective intelligence and security management domains. His personal investigative and consulting specialty area's include white collar criminal activity, corporate and industrial espionage prevention and investigation, intelligence gathering related to both internal and external corporate and government threat actors and groups, insurance claims related to police, correctional and mental health agencies, defence investigations related to false claims against regulated health professionals, investigation of prejudicial decisions made by regulatory boards, healthcare fraud He has been certified in psychological profiling, certified in hypnosis (focusing on the forensic-behavioral science domain) and has been accepted as an expert witness in forensic psychology and forensic-clinical psychopathology in the Canadian court system. His major value added skill set is the highly advanced understanding, education and experience related to the dynamics of the mind and human psychology that he brings to each investigation and in particular to the (HUMINT) human intelligence field.He provides training in operational-forensic and investigative behavioral sciences methods to government, police, military and corporate security.

He has been recognized as a diplomate in forensic evaluation. He has over a career spanning 40 years served in law enforcement governance, senior leadership, frontline and advisory/consultative positions in Forensic psychology, private and public sector investigation, policing and correctional services. He has been employed by Solicitor General's and Justice departments and directed large provincially funded clinical-forensic service delivery organizations. During his career he has managed and directed large scale investigations and security management consulting projects, including criminal, civil, child protection and cases of a national security related nature and maintained a practice in Forensic-clinical-police psychology and corporate management consulting .

 

During his government service he led a project in a government security intelligence branch to assist in profiling, predicting and intervening with individuals who were serious threat risks. He has served as a consultant to the national parole board assisting members in the assessment of risk and dangerousness. He has experience with law enforcement agencies on the frontline as well as serving in executive - governance roles having been the chairman of a police services board and chairing a number of police service strategic operational, planning and policy related committee's. He has also served as a mayor's special advisor on policing issues and in senior executive roles with government and government funded agencies  providing forensic-clinical services and oversight of criminal justice system mental health, addictions and forensic psychological/psychiatric programs.

While working within the correctional services institutional environment he chaired an institutional predictive intelligence and crisis management group, provided forensic psychological consultation to a maximum-security special handling unit and provided staff training in criminal profiling, investigative and advanced interviewing methods and statement validity evaluation, criminal psychopathology, prevention of suicidal acting out and management of hostage taking situations.

He has worked in the private investigation sector  since the late 1970"s conducting complex investigations including surveillance-counter-surveillance assignments, litigation related investigations, locates on missing persons, insurance investigations, retail fraud and theft investigations, deep background vetting of security sensitive new hires, persons of interest related to corporate mergers and aquisitions, issues related to corporate competitive intelligence and management/union labour disputes, undercover workplace criminal investiations, duty of care investigations regarding health, police and correctional services, employment law, family law issues related to child abuse, parental capacity/child custody, corporate investigations regarding protection of intellectual property/ protection of executives, board members and facilities, due dilligence investigations regarding potential mergers and aquisitions, supply chain and vendor intelligence and has directed and overseen a significant number of difficult human resource related workplace investigations involving multiple actors and extensive employee fraud and malfeasance. He has extensive experience in the investigation of internal healthcare fraud and tortious malfeasance by employee's, the defense of healthcare professionals against actions taken by healthcare regulatory boards and has provided investigation and consultation regarding psychological autopsies in cases where suicide vs criminal acts are at question. He has had his court testimony accepted as an expert witness in the areas of forensic psychology and forensic-clinical psychopathology. He has invested significant professional energy into studying the profiles and the investigative process and mitigative response related to internal and external threat actors/groups at risk relative to industrial espionage and sabotage. He has made an extensive investigative psychology study of past key threat actors in the national security and corporate espionage dynamic to examine predictors and critical pathways of a human intelligence nature in order to predict individuals who are at risk to commit acts of espionage and organizational sabotage. He continues to provide police psychology consultation with members of municipal, provincial and federal police agencies.

He holds a Bachelor's degree focusing on the psychology - criminology field, an applied Master’s degree focusing on the forensic and police psychology field, Doctoral degrees, focusing on Behavioral science area's. He has a strong interest related to the psycho pathology of corporate and political leaders and leadership teams. He has postgraduate professional training in leadership, management, labour and employment law, mediation negotiation and arbitration along with extensive experience working within the organizational corporate/union domain.

He is currently or has been a member of several national and international associations in the areas of Intelligence and risk management, Corporate intelligence, criminal intelligence, Police and Military Psychology, forensic-clinical, investigative and operational psychology and organizational consulting. In addition, he holds a license as a private investigator and is a member of:​

Much of his professional related interest have focused around the issue of the leadership pathology triad and related distance psychological and behavioral profiling methods to identify and uncover dangerous individuals in leadership, management and insider employee's with access to classified information, sensitive resources and intellectual property.

He has a dedicated interest in the application of forensic behavioral science methods to the private investigation, the predictive, protective and counterintelligence dynamic within the corporate security and government management sphere and the application of these methods and dynamics in providing deep vetting processes to potential new hires as well as individuals currently in highly sensitive positions relative to corporate security issues.

 

Dating back to the early 1980s he has held a strong interest in developing methodologies of a security and counter-intelligence nature relative to issues of corporate espionage, sabotage, workplace violence, organizational disruptiveness and workplace toxicity and dysfunction.

In his work relative to private investigation and corporate security and intelligence consulting he places a strong emphasis on the utilization of Human Intelligence, open-source intelligence and social media-based intelligence, comprehensive surveillance and a much needed and value-added use of forensic behavioral science methods.
